Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host may create ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this in aggregate for maintenance and audience measurement. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information helps operate the service, repair problems, measure traffic, and improve reference material. We do not sell lists of visitors or construct individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each destination controls its own privacy practices and any information entered there. The same point applies to sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic technical information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it and otherwise do not disclose it.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as the purposes above require. There are no user accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained here for an account breach.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor supplied information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask about personal data a service retains. Because we keep little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing information found where appropriate. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records kept by a South Carolina state, county, or city custodian are outside our control, and a request about those records belongs with the actual custodian.
Changes to This Policy
Policy changes will be posted here. Continued use after a posted change means acceptance of the revised policy.
